The beginning of a new month gives each of us an excellent opportunity to start afresh and plan towards having a productive month.
I found that there are seven things I do every month that always works for me when I plan on getting the most out of that month.
Since we just entered the month of September, I will share my ways below on how I plan towards having a productive month.
Tips on Being Productive This September
- Reflect on The Previous month
From experience, I have realized that reflection is essential; especially if you want to measure your growth. At the start of the month, I set aside 30 minutes to list out things that have happened in both my personal and work life.
Reflecting helps me to learn from mistakes and challenge myself to do better in the new month.
Also, reflection helps you to keep track of your accomplishments. Looking back at the things you’ve done can be motivating and can also help you move forward when you feel you’ve not successfully achieved anything.
- Set Goals
At the start of the month, you should set goals for yourself. Please list a few things you’d like to improve in your life and work on it. Don’t try to overset your goals. You will end up being overwhelmed and not accomplish anything in the new month. It is essential to set realistic goals that will make you productive.
Surround Yourself with Inspiration
Surrounding yourself with positive inspirations might seem trivial, but it’s so important. The more you are surrounded by things and people that inspire you, the more productive you will be. On my social media accounts, I am particular on what I consume into my mind. I also ensure to surround myself with fabulous people who inspire me to live productive lives.
At the start of a new month, do a monthly cleanse and revaluate people within your circles.
- Do a 30-Day Challenge.
After reflecting and setting up your goals for the new month, a 30-day challenge is a great way to keep you on track. Thirty days is the appropriate timespan for you to make changes in your life. It can be hard to stick to your monthly plans. So, start on day one, commit to a month, and see where it takes you.
- Read more
People often forget the importance of reading. It opens up your perspectives, gives you new ideas, gets your mind off of stress, and improves your focus on achieving your monthly goals. It is healthy to read a good book now and then, to avoid spending time being less productive on social media.
Procrastination is never good. It adds stress and affects your productivity levels. Challenging as it may be, try to cut out waiting until the last minute this new month.

- PLANOLY allows you to plan your Instagram and campaigns. The more you can plan your Instagram content, the less time you spend thinking of new content to create.
- BEEMINDER helps you set any quantifiable goal you want to achieve. These goals could be setting the app to limit the minutes you spend on social media. To ensure you don’t procrastinate on your set goals, you have to pay a fee whenever you go off track.
- FINISH APP is the procrastinator’s to-do list reminder. You enter your tasks and due dates, and it will notify you when your deadlines are approaching.
- Believe in Yourself
Following these tips will certainly help you have a more productive new month, but the essential information is to believe in yourself. When you are confident and comfortable in your skin, you can achieve anything.
This new month, trusting in yourself and your abilities are the best formula for success and being productive.
